Coralach Home

Coralach is situated on the North West of Skye, which itself is in the North West of Scotland. The Isle of Skye is part of the Scottish Inner Hebrides.
North of Dunvegan stands Dunvegan Castle which is open daily from around 1st April until mid-October. Both the castle and garden are open to visitors and, when available, don't miss a boat trip to see the local seals.
In Dunvegan itself there are a few local shops, a post office, a petrol station, and Jann's Cake Shop and Cafè as well as The Old Schoolhouse Restaurant.
The famous Three Chimneys Restaurant is about a twenty five minute drive from Dunvegan and the restaurants in Stein - Loch Bay and The Stein Inn are also about twenty five minutes drive away. The Edinbane Inn is also about a twenty five minute drive away.
Neist Point, Waternish, Portree, the Cuillin, The Quirang and Talisker Distillery are all places worthy of a visit.

The Isle of Skye can be reached via a bridge or via ferry. The Glenelg to Skye ferry is very popular for small vehicles and foot passengers. The Scenery on Skye is stunning. The summer days are very long with just an hour or two of dusk during June and July.

Coralach is situated on the Isle of Skye, part of the Inner Hebrides in the North West Highlands of Scotland.
The Isle of Skye has dark skies which make for spectacular displays of the Aurora Borealis in Winter, and for star and planet gazing the dark skies are perfect. The scenery is magnificent and rugged. In the height of summer it never gets dark. We get a brief period of twilight then it starts to get light again. This means the days are very long allowing plenty of time for sight seeing.
