Neist Point

The most westerly point of the Isle of Skye. Neist Point projects into The Minch and there is a walk to a viewpoint

It is exposed to the ravages of Atlantic storms.


Neist Point lighthouse is accessible on foot from the car park at the top of the cliff. A steep path leads down from the car park.

Whales, dolphins, porpoises and basking shark can be seen from Neist Point. Gannets, Black Guillemots, Razorbills and European Shags can also be seen. Rare plants, including saxifrages are found on the point
